Zoo Run

The Zoo Run takes place this year on Saturday, 20 June, and is an atmospheric fun run with both start and finish inside the Zoo – open to everyone.

The running experience is quite different from what you may know from traditional road races. Here, you run or walk in surroundings usually reserved for Zoo visitors – among animals from all over the world!

This year’s theme: The Leopard

Each year, the Zoo Run features a new theme. This year, we’re focusing on a true speedster: the leopard. Can you run as fast as one? Or move as quietly? We also promise you’ll spot a leopard print or two in the day’s design and details.

Choose your distance

  • 1 mile (1.6 km) inside the Zoo. We run or walk in three heats so everyone can take part.

  • 5 km, with both start and finish in the heart of the Zoo, as the route winds through the Zoo’s paths and the green areas of Frederiksberg.

  • Price: DKK 329 (incl. fees)

  • Your entry includes a running T-shirt, medal badge, chip timing, and admission to the Zoo for the rest of the day.

  • Organised in collaboration with the Danish Athletics Federation.
