Primary and lower secondary school
The ZOO School Service offers free education for primary and lower secondary school students in the subjects: science/technology, mathematics, and biology. A common feature of all sessions is that live animals and teaching materials are at the centre, with the aim of turning theory into practice.
For lower and middle school classes, sessions typically last 45 minutes, while for upper secondary (lower secondary level) classes they last 90 minutes.
The programmes support the Danish Common Objectives (Fælles Mål), and most courses allow for an interdisciplinary approach. For the upper grades, we also offer programmes focused on education and careers, as well as sex education.
Educational programmes for grades 0–10
