To ensure we can continue to maintain high standards of animal welfare, provide inspiring educational experiences, develop new experiences in the Zoo, and strengthen our conservation efforts in Denmark and around the world.
Everything we generate in revenue goes to the animals in the Zoo, their habitats, and conservation projects in Denmark and around the world. The support from our guests is our most important foundation.
The support from our loyal Zoo Pass holders is essential for carrying out the Zoo’s work to protect animals around the world.
After three visits to the Zoo, you will have – just as with the previous price – covered the cost of your pass.
To provide the best possible member experience, we encourage our guests to use the Zoo’s app. In the app, you can store your own and your family’s Zoo Cards, so you always have them on hand.

About Zoo Card
A Zoo Card is a membership that gives you access to ZOO all year round and a wide range of exclusive member benefits. At the same time, you help save animals around the world and support ZOO’s important work with breeding cooperation and nature conservation.
When you purchase a Zoo Card, it is set up as a subscription with automatic renewal. The Zoo Card is valid for one year from the date of purchase and renews automatically once a year.
When purchasing a Zoo Cardonline on a subscription basis, you agree that ZOO may automatically charge the payment card you used when creating the membership.
When purchasing a Zoo Card at the entrance, you must complete the purchase in ZOO’s app and set up a renewal agreement by linking a payment card before the Zoo Card can be used.
You can change/cancel your payment agreement via your membership profile on zoo.dk.
If you would like a physical Zoo Card, it can be purchased at the entrance for 50 DKK.
Yes, the Zoo Card is personal, with both name and photo.
The price of a Zoo Card depends on whether you are an adult or a child. If you would like to purchase a Zoo Card, you can do so here.
The Zoo Card is valid from the date of purchase and is valid for one year from that date. The Zoo Card is automatically renewed each year and continues until you actively cancel it via your membership profile or by contacting ZOO by email at zoo@zoo.dk or by phone at +45 72 200 200, no later than 4 days before the expiry date.
You can cancel your membership effective at the end of the year you have paid for. Cancellation of the Zoo Card must be done no later than 4 days before the expiry date. You can do this via your membership login or by contacting ZOO by email at zoo@zoo.dk or by phone at +45 72 200 200.
You can pay for a Zoo Card with a payment card or via Betalingsservice. When creating the membership, you accept that ZOO may automatically charge your payment card upon annual renewal. You also have the option to sign up for payment of your membership through Betalingsservice.
If you have not registered a payment card or signed up for Betalingsservice, we will send you an email before the expiration date. Here, you will have the opportunity to register a payment card and thereby have the Zoo Card automatically renewed upon expiry.
You can update your payment details at any time via your membership profile on zoo.dk under the section “My Zoo Cards."
No, but you can purchase a physical Zoo Card for DKK 50 by contacting the entrance.
Yes, if you have a physical Zoo Card, you can continue to use the card. You can also use your physical Zoo Card even if you have registered your card in the ZOO app.
You can add your own and other family members’ Zoo Cards in ZOO’s app. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play. You can find the guide further down the page.
You have the right to withdraw from your purchase of a ZOO membership within 14 days, provided that it is a newly created Zoo Card membership that has not been used. You can only exercise your right of withdrawal if you have not yet used your membership. In practice, this means that you have purchased a membership but have not yet visited ZOO or otherwise made use of the benefits associated with your membership. It is not possible to withdraw from renewals of existing memberships (ongoing renewals, subscription renewals).
If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must — before using the membership and before the expiry of the 14-day period — notify ZOO in a clear written statement by email at zoo@zoo.dk or by post to Zoological Garden, Roskildevej 32, 2000 Frederiksberg. ZOO will then refund all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date on which we received your notice of withdrawal.
Cancellation of a Zoo Card must be made no later than 4 days before the expiry date. If your pass expires on January 31, you must therefore cancel it no later than January 27. If you have a PBS agreement, you must remember to cancel this with your bank before the 7th of the expiry month. We are not able to cancel PBS agreements.

Renewal of Zoo Card
Unless otherwise stated at the time of signing up, your membership is ongoing and will automatically renew each year until you cancel it.
Yes, but it is important that you cancel your membership no later than 4 days before the renewal.
You can cancel your membership via your membership profile at zoo.dk or by contacting ZOO by email at zoo@zoo.dk or by phone at +45 72 200 200.
If you are registered with PBS, this is an agreement between you and your bank. You must therefore cancel the agreement through your bank. Please note that since the agreement is between you and your bank, you will not receive any notifications from us by email regarding the renewal of your membership. It is therefore your own responsibility to contact your bank if you are unsure whether you are registered with Betalingsservice (PBS).
It is important that you remember to update your card details no later than 4 days before expiry, as we otherwise will not be able to renew your membership.
You can update your payment card on zoo.dk via your membership profile, where you can also view and edit your membership details. Once the payment has been charged, you do not need to do anything further – you can then continue to use your membership as usual.
