You are welcome to inquire about lost items by calling +45 72 200 286 during opening hours or by contacting the staff directly at the entrance of the zoo.
The Zoo Tower was built in 1905 and has been through several renovations since then. Today it has 182 steps up to the top platform, where you have a view over Copenhagen from a height of 43.5 meters. The Zoo Tower's highest point at the top of the flagpole is 50 meters above ground.
It costs DKK 25 to enter the tower.
To create variation in the animals' daily lives, feeding times are often planned a day or two in advance. You can find today's current feedings and other activities in the daily program at the screens around the zoo and on our website. See here.
The entire zoo closes at the same time. However, ticket and season pass sales close 15 minutes before the zoo's closing time, and during the summer holidays, they close an hour before. Kiosks and restaurants close approximately 15 minutes before the zoo's closing time.
For the welfare of Copenhagen Zoo's free-roaming animals and quarantine conditions, dogs and other animals are not allowed in the zoo. Exceptions are certified guide dogs and service dogs, but they are not permitted in the open enclosures and has to have an ID vest for service dogs.
You are welcome to breastfeed anywhere in Copenhagen Zoo. You can also use the nursing room located by the restrooms closest to the entrance.
The zoo has toilets with changing tables, e.g. the toilets located next to the Tropical House and at the entrance to Kids’ Zoo. Diapers can be obtained at entrance in case of emergencies.
Smoking is not permitted in Copenhagen Zoo outside the designated smoking areas.
Cigarettes and sanitary pads are not sold at the zoo. In case of emergencies diapers as well as sanitary pads and tampons can be provided at the entrance to the zoo.
We have a limited number of wheelchairs available for loan. It is recommended to pre-book by calling +45 72 200 200 or by email at zoo@zoo.dk.
Since 2004, Copenhagen Zoo has been part of the accessibility scheme “Good Access” (God Adgang), which makes it easier for people with disabilities to move around the Zoo.
Trolleys can be rented at the entrance to the zoo. The rental price is 80 DKK per cart, or 70 DKK if you have a Zoo Card. A deposit of 20 DKK is required, which is refunded when the cart is returned, together with the return receipt issued at the time of rental.
Lockers are available at the entrance to Copenhagen Zoo. It cost DKK 10 each time they are opened.
Luggage lockers are located at the entrance, before you enter Copenhagen Zoo.
They cost from 50 DKK and up for a full day.
The Zoo Shop and eating establishments can only be accessed with a valid admission ticket to Copenhagen Zoo. If you wish to hold an event at the zoo, you can book a venue and a menu, which also includes entry to the zoo.

Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to exhibit art in Copenhagen Zoo.
As a general rule, it is not possible to leave Copenhagen Zoo and re-enter on the same ticket.
However, if you need to leave briefly, for example to visit your car, you can make an arrangement with the staff at the entrance.
The admission ticket can be deducted from the purchase of a Zoo Card if the upgrade is made no later than the day after your visit.
One adult ticket can be deducted from an adult or senior Zoo Card, and one child ticket can be deducted from a child Zoo Card.
The upgrade must be completed in the webshop using the upgrade code on the ticket, consisting of eight letters and numbers (e.g. VU8SDZVF), which is issued together with the admission ticket.
If you purchased your ticket online, you must use the order code (e.g. VU8SDZVF) shown at the top of the ticket.
You can cancel your Zoo Card to take effect at the end of the year you have paid for.
Cancellation must be received no later than 4 days before you are charged for renewal.

All Zoo Cards are personal. If you wish to give a Zoo Card as a gift, it can be purchased at the zoo or through the online shop at zoo.dk. The Zoo Card is valid from the date of purchase and for 12 months thereafter. For a gift, we recommend purchasing a gift card, which can be redeemed for a Zoo Card valid from the date of redemption. Gift cards are valid for five years from the date of purchase.
You can purchase a physical Zoo Card at the entrance for DKK 50.
On the front page of zoo.dk, you can log in to your membership page with your membership number and your personal access code. Here you can view and maintain your data. To change your address, you need to use your membership number and access code. If you have forgotten it, you can have a new one sent to you by clicking 'forgot password.'
You can see the program of the day on the information screens located in and around the entrance, the Zoo Tower, the Elephant House, the Arctic Ring, the Tropical House, the Giraffe House and the Hippo House.
You can find the program on our website and in the Copenhagen Zoo app as well.
You can connect to the zoo's free Wi-Fi network, ZooWifiGaest. You'll be asked to register with your email address, after which you'll receive an access code.
Kulturpasset (the Culture Pass) can be used for admission to Copenhagen Zoo.
Please note that Kulturpasset is valid for admission only and cannot be used for food, drinks or other products.
You can bring one companion free of charge by presenting a valid official companion card. A disability card alone is not sufficient.
The guest who requires the companion must purchase, or already have purchased, a full-price admission ticket or Zoo Card.
