Rules and Regulations

To help protect our animals, guests, staff, and the Zoo, ZOO has a number of rules that all visitors must follow.
Therefore, it is not permitted to:
Feed or disturb the animals
Bring mopeds, bicycles, roller skates, skateboards, scooters, balloons, large flags, banners, balls, sledges, or similar items
Bring dogs or other pets
Damage plants or landscaped areas
Litter or collect refundable bottles and cans
Display threatening or aggressive behaviour
Disturb other guests
Create excessive noise using radios, musical instruments, megaphones, or similar devices
Carry out campaigning or political propaganda
Sell goods or distribute printed materials
Bring large quantities of beer, wine, or spirits
Behave in an intoxicated manner
Smoke outside designated smoking areas – this also applies to e-cigarettes
Use open flames or barbecues
Hold commercial events in ZOO without prior agreement
Be in the Zoo without clothing or footwear
Relieve yourself anywhere other than the designated toilet facilities
Please also note that entry to and stay in ZOO is at your own risk.
Visitors may be asked to present the contents of their bags and pockets, as well as valid ID, to zoo staff upon request. Misuse of a Zoo Card may result in the card being blocked. Guests must always follow the instructions of zoo staff, and violations of these rules may result in removal from the Zoo.
