Great experiences – without getting your paws wet
Copenhagen Zoo is full of things to see and do, whatever the weather. Warm up in the Tropical House, stay dry while getting close to the polar bears in the Arctic Ring, or discover fascinating creepy-crawlies in Zoolab.

Ele-fantastic – and out of the rain
Visit the herd in the Elephant House, where you can see the enormous elephants up close.
Before or after visiting the grey giants, dive trunk-first into fascinating facts about elephants in the exhibition inside the Elephant House – all while staying warm and dry.

Visit the long-necked giants
In the Giraffe House, you can see the world’s tallest animals up close. Take a seat on one of the benches in the cosy indoor enclosure and watch these fascinating, curious animals.

Activities and fun in Zoolab
Up for more indoor fun? Make your way through Zoolab, where plenty of activities await. Get up close to the busy colony of leafcutter ants as they cut, carry and dig their way through the day.

See the hippos up close
Dive below the surface in the Hippo House, where you can watch these enormous animals swimming through the water or relaxing on their island in the middle of the enclosure.

Head north
Rain and winter weather won’t stop the fun in the Arctic Ring, where you can stay dry all year round. Watch the polar bears splash around in the large pool while getting the feeling that you’re underwater yourself. You can also take a break at the indoor tables and chairs.

Meet the rhinos
Visit the endangered rhinos and their smaller neighbours, the meerkats, in the shelter of Næsehornshuset. If you’re lucky, you may get incredibly close to these enormous animals.

Have fun in Kids' Zoo
Explore the animal houses in Kids' Zoo, where you can shelter from the rain and still enjoy plenty of great experiences. Meet animals including pigs, cows and rabbits.
You can also get a close-up look at the zookeepers’ work as they care for, feed and enrich the many animals in Kids' Zoo.

Take a trip through the rainforest
In the Tropical House, you’ll feel the warmth the moment you step into the rainforest. Get up close to many of the animals, which may fly right over your head or walk past your feet.
Along the way, you’ll encounter everything from crocodiles and snakes to butterflies and sloths.

Explore the dark
In the Nocturnal House, day and night have been turned upside down, so during the day you can walk beneath a starry sky and meet everything from rat kangaroos and galagos to armadillos and echidnas.
Your journey through the calm nighttime surroundings also takes you to a cave where you can watch fascinating bats up close.

Take shelter in the world of primates
It’s always dry inside the Primate House. Here, you can meet everything from golden lion tamarins and baboons to radiated tortoises and iguanas.
