Tropical house

Go on an expedition in the tropics
At the Tropical house, you’ll feel the heat and high humidity the moment you step into the rainforest, and the sounds around you highlight just how many fascinating animals you can look forward to encountering as you make your way through the tropical climate.
Get up close to many of the animals, which aren’t afraid to fly right over your head or walk right past your feet. Along the way, say hello to everything from crocodiles and snakes to butterflies and armadillos – and perhaps you’ll spot the world’s largest species of pigeon?
Against the lush backdrop of the rainforest, you might also be lucky enough to hang out with the slow-moving sloths, though this may well require a particularly keen eye – they’re actually really good at camouflaging themselves.
Are you into creepy-crawlies? Then the Tropical house is the place for you to explore. Because here, things are particularly busy with all sorts of creatures crawling about. Discover a wealth of different insects and arachnids, and come face to face with, amongst other things, a wall covered in cockroaches!
